How to Submit a planning appeal

Planning
Permission Appraisal

Because planning permission is never guaranteed the first step in any project is always to conduct a planning appraisal to determine the best course of action and the likelihood of success. We will need as much information as possible including photos of the site and a copy of the rejection letter or enforcement notice.

Once we understand what the planning authority feels is not acceptable, one of our chartered planning consultants will research the project and its relevant planning policies. They will also check the planning history for the site and look for any constraints that may have removed your permitted development rights or make it difficult to secure planning approval.

It will take our consultants about an hour to do the necessary research at which point they can provide you with telephone consultation to discuss the findings and advise you on the best course of action. Unfortunately, there are never any guarantees with planning permission however, as members of the RTPI we are obliged to give frank and honest advice.

If there is a potential solution to win an appeal, we will find and recommend the option with the greatest chance of success. Equally if we feel that there is now way to win or it is very unlikely, we will let you know so that you do not waste any more time or money on something that isn’t feasible.
